well why are you asking how much you need if you realize that you are going to need a better power to weight ... you have 3 power mods and no weight mods, what do you think

also why add motor mounts and tranny mounts if you are trying to take us from a roll ..spend that money on more power mods they will be more effective

i was always told motor and tranny mounts free up trq and hp due to less rotational movement. wat can really be removed from the car thats nto goin to affect the car.

well it may be possible for a ss/sc guy to be an average driver and have a good driver in the 2.4 ss and maybe make it a tie from a stop since 1/4 mile times arnt that far apart

maybe slightly ..but they would be better mods from a dig ... for winning in a roll race the money would be better spent ...

sorry bro I don't mean to dog on you but I don't think floor mats don't weigh that much.

but the idea would be to take out everything ...every little bit counts .... take out everything you have in the glovebox as well ...a pound here and there can make the difference

according to statistics...every 100 pounds you reduce becomes a tenth of a second quicker in the 1/4....but i don't know how accurate that is

I thinks it's funny how some people will strip their entire car and put on slicks/take out headlights etc. to run at the track. I do realize this helps but I like to know what my car is running bone stock while on the street. You can always brag you ran a 13 blah blah blah but when on the street....you'r only going to run mid to high 14's......sorry guys, just a rant...this wasn't aimed towards anyone

Yup I'll swear by that . I was racing a twin turbo Z last night from digs. Got it all on video. I was whooping ass on the launch all thanks to these lovely 16 inch steelies and some fancy clutch play.

Shifter and mounts unnecessary. The mounts in it are amazing at keeping engine vibration to a minimum. Everything else is good though. Shifter is something I would do but after all the others for sure

hmmm... i dont see you beating an SS/SC with those mods. you would put up a damn good fight tho.

like others have said, if you are a good driver you could probably tie.

What magazine are you getting these numbers from?

I think thats an urban legend. No one knows what magazine! But it wasn't C&D, M/T (they did the test of the 4 door SS 5 speed)or Road and Track.
