Supercharging Solstice LE5

I have picked up some parts to supercharge my Solstice 2.4 with the LSJ supercharger. I have already worked out the intake so I am not pulling air from the firewall.

I want to be around 8-10 psi, there is already a zzp hub on the supercharger and a 2.6" pulley. I was thinking a 3.1 or 3.0 pulley should give me the 8-10 psi. Those experienced, feel free to suggest otherwise.

OK, now to my question. How to route the drive belt? ZZP has a bolt on kit for the LE5 that includes an idler pulley between the alternator and the tensioner and alternator spacer. Looks simple enough. I contacted ZZP to see if they will sell me the idler, alternator spacer and belt set-up only. They will sell me the parts but no returns. I see no reason their pulley set-up would not work, i mean, and LE5 is an LE5 whether North-South or East-West engine. Short of changing everything over to the LSJ pulleys, why would it not work as expected?

Trifecta said they could do the ECU programming. I am going to use the 42# LSJ injectors and already modified an injector harness to fit the different connectors.

A 3.0 will be fine for 8-10psi; But you will be more than fine doing a 2.8

Get the LSJ serp belt setup; bolts right up.
Use beck's guide as well as hunterkillr's thread
-and will be better that ZZPs setup

Get 60s as far as injectors

You should be unlocked for HPtune

Spend the money on dual pass and a quality heat exchanger
As well as spending the money on a nice flow thru coolant reservoir (have 2 inlets and 1 outlet; then run the 2 lines out of dual pass, right into reservoir) as well as phenolic spacer.
-Yes it does get costly, but you IATs will be LOW

Look at my thread too, I have a few decent pictures of my reservoir

The only reservation I have with the LSJ setup is the alternator. Short of getting the LSJ alternator, mine will be running in reverse. From what I hear, output will be fine, but the brushes will wear down quickly.

That pulley supposedly allows the lsj generator to spin backwards, I'd Pm josh at Ottp for more info

Never heard anything about the brushes wearing down quickly, only difference with it spinning in reverse is the internal fan that is driven by the pulley is spinning the wrong way. However I dont think it inhibits cooling enough to actually kill the alternator before its time.

I agree on the 2.8 and 60s or some nicer injectors. Cooling mods are also a good idea
