i know they advise running regular oil for a few thousand miles before switching to synthetic in a new car. does the same hold true for other fulids, ie brake, tranny, etc?

I used amsoil, it was $12 per quart, need 1.6 quarts. yes I have the 2.4 with a 5 speed. wasnt hard to change at all, i had a lil trouble finding the drain plug, its an allen head screw on the driver side of the tranny. Its not like a huge difference, but I could notice it, so for $25 u cant go wrong, plus it should help it last longer. I dont know if you need to wait several thousand clicks for tranny fuid or not, but I have 16 000 km and i just switched to syn oil and did tranny fluid at the same time. oh and another thing, remember even though its a manual trans u use ATF
