Throttle body question

My CAI gets more air than most usually do and its loud as hell and I was wondering if I could benefit from a slightly larger throttle body. If I would benefit from one, which one would be good to get and do I have to tune it?

Thank you

everyone can benefit from a larger throttle body its a matter of finding one that will work correctly with yours and yes you would have to tune for it

what would be a good one you think? one that can directly bolt up or almost directly with light modification

your best bet would be one that would directly bolt up. cuz we have a few sensors that hook up to the throttle body and i'm not sure which ones would work with the 2.4's

Remember you may need a spacer to accommodate the larger butterfly. Does the 2.0 tb fit the 2.4? Post pictures I may be able to tell you.

no the 2.0 wouldn't fit due to the sensors and manifold, i'm 99% sure on that one. and yes i forgot to mention the spacer

please entertain me with your idea of how a larger throttle body will increase your performance JUST because you made the inner diameter bigger, and you now have a longer tube with an open air filter thats is loud.

no you would see little to NO benefit from doing this modification. if you decide to throw an intake manifold on it, then change the tb, until then... i can think of 100 things you could spend your money on other than a useless mod. a few examples including beer, things that will actually help your performance, beer, a shorty antenna for me, beer or even prostitutes. go you.

the best you would hope to gain is some throttle response difference with this but i agree you would see very little actual performance HP gains from this mod.
