throttle body spacer

has anyone used a throttle body spacer, and if so does it help mileage and or power. Thanks

im pretty sure that's basically a bullshit claim by those companies. I read somewhere it doesn't do jack **** but it's a great way to add a line in like meth injection or Nitrous.

if it WORKED, all cars would have them. basically, they theory goes that making the intake runner long makes the power come on earlier. (look at the huge risers on old drag cars or on the varible length intake runners on some cars)

so, the theory works, BUT, a 3/4 inch spacer is just annoying.

only reason for a spacer is clearance issues, or for injection nozzles.
