Anyone wanna guess on numbers? Stock clutch FTW.

I'm shooting for 265whp/245tq and a mid 13 at the track.

Do you have the cobra heat exchanger allready installed, what about the dueal pass end plate to keep the temps down.

yea i have the cobra HE installed. no dual pass though...

if we start seeign crazy knock we can't get rid off due to the compression ratio, then i'll have to bump it up to 3"...otherwise, if AFR's are good and there is no knock 2.8" is going to stay.

Anxious to see the outcome of this for sure. Take it the blower is still running strong for you then! She certainly was a good girl for me! If I come up to NH this summer and you're still up there, we'll have to meet up at the track.

Why would 2.8 make LESS power than 3.0?

pjk: also, you might want to rethink the 60's if your going to ever want a 2.7-2.5... 2.8 will be all those injectors can handle at 7k rpm (meth will defiantly lower duty cycle), but maybe 79lb'ers would be a better investment if your going to want more... and you will want more... you know you will...

the smaller the pulley the less hp u make cause its more drag on the motor.... but smaller pulley will increase torque

Haven't purchased the 60's yet. They're roughly 240/shipped. I've never heard of 79's though. Where did you pick up a set of those monsters? I think I'm seeing 81% IDC around 5500rpm 4th gear if I remember correctly.

Meth is also an option. Beck suggested an EGT gauge, and I know someone with one FS. Might pick that up as well.

You will not need 79lb'ers. the m62 cant flow enough air for the 60's anyways so dont worry. stick with the 60lb'ers and your set. Invest in a dualpass endplate and you shouldnt have an issue with the 2.8". You could make close to 285whp if Area47 tuned your car since he probably wont you could do 270whp if you can tune it right.

not to flame, or cause an argument,

buttt...

your sig says: Blown:228whp 208tq and 14.719 @ 98mph 2.41 60ft

do you think you can drop a whole second(and then some) with just 40 more whp?

How do you figure?

Smaller pulley = less rotational mass...plus the faster the blower..blows.

Id really love to see these 2.4's supercharged and push over 300hp.

We're all brothers in this....the 2.2's are like our little sisters...and the 2.0's are like the ****** older cousin who thinks hes better than you.

We gotta stick together.

2.4's FTW.

With A/F ratios that rich, a couple hours of tuning and a good launch would easily net 13's. 10.2 is just crazy no power too damn rich! Oh, and the 60's should be plenty of fuel for a 2.8" pulley. Can't wait to see your results!

what signs of wear is he seeing? can you elaborate? I'm still doing it anyways...there are cars runnign 10.4:1 + boost no problem. If the tune is solid, there are good afrs, no knock...it will be ok.

Sure I'm going to need studs/headgasket for safety's sake, as well as a clutch and probably springs, but other than that I feel confident the internals are strong enough to hold on to M62 12-15psi on a daily driver.

The biggest thing your going to need to worry about with the m62 is the heat. Do as much for cooling as you can and your engine will stay strong.
