you beat me to it. third gear takes you there. i also prefer to watch the road rather than the tac at that point in time. just kinda shift by feel.

hey the 2.4 is pretty quick. 0-60 in low 7s. the 2.0 does it in low 6's. and the 2.2 does it in mid 8's. haha, the 2.2 is so slow.

Well i got a time. I only went once because it started to rain and there was alot of people and i just didnt go twice. My time was shitty cause this was my first time ever to a track. I ran a 16.407@85. My 60' was like 2.5. Once i get my launches down, i should be doin much better.

Stupid track last night had no track prep. I only could get a 15.27, a 15.28, and a bunch of 15.3X's

There was no traction and I kept spinning, oh well.

My 2.4 is still under break in. I haven't gotten to really thrash it yet. A few hundred miles left. Plus, the dealer probably just put in base line gas since they wouldn't figure the base SS would need 91. I'll be very excited to see the actual experience. So far though, I'm very impressed.

What's the 0-60 time? Any have a general idea? For auto preforably.

Just keep in mind it can take 2-3 full tanks of 91+ octane before the engine will undo the changes it's made from running octane below 91. The engine doesn't really need 91+ octane, but it's designed to perform best on 91+.

I can't verify wether or not the used regular or 91...so I'm not sure. But another tank or so and we should be rollin' deep. haha!

Any 0-60 idea whereabouts?

2.4L SS Sedan Dyno & Track results...

This was on an axel dyno (Front tires off of vehicle)... They said to add about 14.32% to the numbers to have an accurate reading of HP and Torque for my car (because of an automatic, the dyno was designed for manuals)... So thats 180.73 Ftlbs and 177.54 HP at the crank!! Not to shabby... Hope this answers peoples questions about how much power the 2.4L has!

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c2...dan/cobalt.jpg

Went to Byron Dragway today and had several runs... Best run was a 16.03 @84.77 MPH (my car is an automatic)... I thought the numbers were actually really good for stock... I have the time slips so I will post those as soon as I get them scanned in... Surprisingly there were quite a few cars that had much higher 1/4 Mile times, I was happy (Hundayi Tiburon GT V6, Scion tC and a Ford Focus ZX3)
