Are the TTR engine and trans mounts safe???

i have been doing some reading and there is some speculation on whether the can cause damage to axils etc..as of right now i ordered the upper motor mount and am debating on getting the trans mounts also.

is it safe to just run the motor mount?
is it safe to run any new mounts period?

btw i am 2.4 Auto, I dont mind a little more vibrations, daily driven, and i do drive my car a bit on the hard side.

They vibrate but they dont necessarily cause damage. Breaking axles comes from wheel hop. Solid mounts help but not nearly as much as the rotated mounts help. The stock mounts are really the problem.

I have the TTR trans and engine mounts. I used to have wheel hop really bad. These mounts stopped it by 99%. Depending on road and conditions I periodically get a small shudder, but its rare. Before the mounts the wheel hop felt like John Henry was under my car with his sledge.

What Aaron says.
I have 2 cobalt SS, on one I have OTTP stage 2 tranny and TTR upper engine, and it is perfect. On the other Cobalt I'm getting all TTR mounts soon, and I'm sure they will be fine.

what if i just run the motor mount without the tranny mounts.
i feel like the one side will be stiffer and it will cause problems because its uneven

I don't know, mine doesn't have that kind of problem. It is true that each car is different, but I don't think it should be an issue. Let's see if Aaron replies to your question.
The only suggestion: no matter what you decide to buy (both now and in the future regardless of if it is a DP, CAI, a turbo upgrade or whatever you may buy in your life for your car), buy it if you like it, don't buy according to what's cheaper like 99.9% of the people in this site. Better spend an extra 100 $ and being happy with what you buy other than save a 100 $ and regret the item. And if you don't have all the money, I usually keep saving until I can buy what I really want (and because of that, people say that I have a lot of money lololol, I just wait to have enough to buy the best). There are some posts on this site that really make you think about people's sanity. You will see yourself how many people are trying their best to save 50 or 100 $ to buy something that it's not worth it or that they don't like it (i.e. "I like this better, but the other one is cheaper so I'll get it lololol. Hundreds of posts like this), after they spend money to buy a car that between taxes and warranty is close to 30k. Just saying this in case you are young or kind of new on this site. If neither one applies to you, then disregard all of the above and please accept my apology.
Anyway, TTR tranny and engine mounts are designed to work together, I really don't think you will have any problem. And if you will have a problem because of the mounts, I'm sure TTR will do what's possible to help you solve it.

You will not have any problem with installing the tranny mounts and the upper engine mounts. They are quite a bit of money, but its because they are the best thing for our cars. It will eliminate wheel hop which will in turn protect your axles

I've ran on the TTR Upper Mount for 2yrs now with over 60k miles. No issues. I could care less about vibrations. Absolutely no complaints here.
