Universal CAI

whats everyone think about the universal CAI that you piece together?? everything else is soo expensive. the universal is only like $70.

If you mean the spectra piece together intake.... yeah it would be good if you could use it.... but there is no way to put the maf sensor into it... so there really is no universal intake.... you can get one of the ebay intakes for like 70, and i've heard they are not to bad and they are pretty much comparable to the AEM intake

Someone on here made a thread about the ebay intake, and how there were loose chips of metal that were flung into the throttle body.

You get what you pay for. Since I care about my car, and want the best for it, I will only buy the highest quality parts for it. Hence why I went with K&N. Injen and AEM are also good to go with too. I just wanted a SRI and didn't like the way the Injen looked.

AEM, Injen, R.A.W., Fujita, GMPP, Weapon-R > Spectre "universal" intake.

Our car's ECM's are picky as it is. My AEM threw a few codes......I can't imagine that the Spectre intake being any better being as its not even designed for the car.
