Upgrading Stock SS Rims To 18's?

I currently have the stock SS 17" rims on my 2.4L. I intend on upgrading my rims to 18" but I've been advised to make changes with my ECU for the Tranny to accomodate the drivetrain to the bigger wheel diameter. If you know anything about this kinda stuff please fill me in... Thanks

You'll be fine with the bigger wheels. The only thing you have to worry about is the speedometer being off by just a little bit.

Also you will lose a decent amount of turning radius. So be careful when you go to swing into a parking spot it will be completely different. I have the turning radius of a steam boat.

All that above, except what Wall said, is the biggest load of horseshit I've ever heard.

Aside from making sure the offset is close and the lugs are 5x110, you have nothing to worry about.

All you need to do is make sure your new tire/wheel combo is pretty damned close to your current one.

205/45r18, 215/40r18 or 225/40r18 (<-go with this one) are your best match for tires.

I have 19"s and I never changed, recalibrated or touched a thing, and my car is fine.
