Just to ley everyone know, I spoke with someone at Stainless Works today. They don't have a header yet for the 2.4, but want to develop one. They need to use someone's to measure and fabricate a prototype. I believe that person gets the header/cat for free. I would do it, but they are located oh the outskirts of Cleveland which is about 11 hrs away. The sooner they get someone, the sooner all the rest of us will have a header option. Any takers? Contact Stainless Works and they will work it out.

Thanks for clearing that up Chris. The fact remains that it would be nice to to have a header option for our car. Judging from the absolute volumes of rave reviews of the Vector tune on the Trailblazer SS( just look on the Trailvoy Forum), I can't wait until they develop the tune for the automatic!

GTPprix has been tuning cars for a while. I'd take mine to him with no hesitation. BTW are you going to be doing the 2.0 anytime soon?

I wonder if there is a way to get around the factory warranty.

Say if you had a spare ECM with factory settings to swap in when going to the dealer......could they tell?

I'd love to do this but want to keep my factory warranty.

This is from the solstice forum but everything is the same and applys to us. Chris is the guy you want to talk to his name is GTPprix on here so PM him and he'll help you out.

Here are just SOME of the extensive changes we made to the Solstice ECM in the name of power, reliability and drivability:
• Proprietary extensive fuel and spark mapping for high octane fuels. THIS REQUIRES PREMIUM FUEL!
• Removal of the top speed limiter
• Nearly eliminating the drop in power felt when Variable Valve Timing Kicks in (check out any stock solstice dyno sheet for info on this one )
• Elimination of the Power Enrichment delay that causes VERY lean A/F ratios under load.
• Revised "nanny controls" for hellacious burnouts and power shifts. This will be a must for anyone who wants to race their Sol! Not only does the Sol make more power and low end torque but the computer will now actually allow it to hit the ground!
• Increased timing in cruise areas for improved fuel economy: Beta users report an increase in fuel economy, your mileage may vary!
• Raised rev limiter to accommodate the engines new power band.
There are many more small changes but these are some of the highlights, we tune more areas of the ECM than any other tuners or tune programs out there; remember we cant give away ALL of our secrets!

We have three options for those of you who would like to get this phenomenal tune into your Sol as quick as possible.

1. The best way - Ship us your ECM and we'll get it back on it's way to you the same day we recieve it if we recieve it by 2:00PM EST. This is a simple remove and reinstall procedure nothing else needed; just fire it up and go!

2. Core Exchange - We will ship you one of the cores from our inventory with our calibration already programmed including your vehicles VIN for an additional 100% refundable $300 deposit. This will require a three minute security learn done by turning the key on and off and possibly a crankshaft variation learn done by a dealership or someone with a high end CAN scan tool. This is a 5 minute procedure and nearly all dealerships wont even charge you for it or ask questions. This is a necessary evil to keep your engines Misfire detection working properly. If someone tries to sell you a tune that DOESNT need this they turned your misfire detection off

3. We will sell you our tune outright on a new core for an additional $230. This is about $100 or so less than most dealers would charge you for the same part; so it's a pretty good deal.

We will be selling the tunes in a few flavors here is and idea of how they will be broken up:

1. Stock to mildly modded (CAI, Axleback ect)
2. Mildly modded with a long tube header (pending long tube testing/tuning of course this is a future product that should be available by April)
3. Completely custom, we will work with you to get you the perfect tune for your Sol.

So what else do you get for your hard earned money you ask?

Well quite a bit actually We offer a comprehensive free upgrade program that includes any of the above tunes we offer. IE if we make a tune for a specific combo or mod we'll upgrade you to that calibration free of charge. We will also upgrade you for free to any new GM base calibration revisions as well as small upgrades such as tire size, axle ratio, shift points (obviously on the auto) fan turn on ect. Best of all if your ECM is ever replaced for any reason we'll reflash it for free.

This product also falls under out 100% satisfaction guarantee, if you don’t like it for whatever reason we'll refund your money no questions asked.
