Vector tune auto question

Vector tune auto question

I cant remember for the life of me wether the vector ecm tune takes the redline to 7k or the ecm and tcm combo are needed to get a 7k redline in the auto ..... any input trying to help a buddy ...

well the tune raises it to 7100rpm but your auto will shift before that if it's not tuned so you can either tune the tcm or manually shift your automatic

Right.. I figured, cool deal and by manually shift you mean using L AND I i suppose???

The Vector tune is great for the transmission pulls hard to 7k but there engine tune leaves something to be desired. When I logged a car here in CFL he was seeing 8-9 KR in certin parts of the RPM band in all gears. But that is going to happan with a mail order tune where they cant log the car to see what it is doing. If I was close to there shop I would go there. But for a mail order tune, I would pass and find someone local with HPT.

lol, stock 4t45e won't shift manually.....
In both I and L it shifts to 3 gears,
just shifts differently in selected gears.....

wha? damn my mom's old 2001 cavalier vl could do that

put it in 1 and it'd never shift up, 2 did the same..

what's the point of the low gears then?

L- for go
I- for so so
D-for auto crusin
lol, so I'm always in L or I, lol
