Sorry... 91 isn't available here either... thus 93... I'd run 94 if we could get it.

You are shorting your self buy not running the car on 93 There is 2 timing tables the ECM looks at low octane [ you might as well use 87 ] and high octane to switch between these table your required to put more then 4 gallons of fuel in. I can feel it in my HHR 2.4 and my milage goes down by 2-3 on 87oct this is of coarse pre Westers tune . If your going to the track or not 93 is the way to go on the 2.4 that is .

what he means is when you stage, let the first light go one then barely and i mean barely inch up to when the second stage light barely fickers on. That way there's a little more track before you trip the time to start.

how are most of you guys launching? I have run all my cars (when using street tires) at 35psi and have never had a problem getting a decent ET for what I am driving. I know on the fwd cars, wheelspin is gonna happen no matter what, its due to weight transfer, but at most maybe a foot or two.

Also, as someone posted earlier, you can get a 20 second reaction time and still run a 14. Reaction just measures the time from when the tree goes green til when you actually move. The OTHER clock starts once you move and then calculates time once you cross each set of beams at the 60, 330, 660, 1000 and 1320 foot marks.

My suggestion for launching a FWD car is to rev to @ 1500 and then ride the clutch, you should be off the clutch and at WOT by the time you pass the tree.

ok okay.... big problem here.... Who the hell was driving the GT Grand Am??

he ran 16.8?! WTF... this kid must have been manually shifting and hit the limiter about fifteen times!!!!!

dude when my Grand Am was a 3.4, i sat there at my local strip called Edgewater with 110 degree track temps, running 15.7-15.8 all damn night..... You must be at a high altitude or something cause he also has a very low 84mph trap..... My heavy ass 96 Grand Prix with the weak 3.1 ran 83.5 in a trap..... Eeeeh... Why is everyone on here bad mouthing the Grand Am? Its hard to believe, but it aint hard to extract mid 15's out of em with only a few mods.... Yeah i dished the engine for an Ecotec cause the moddability was kinda poor.... but hell, I outran Cobalt SS's with it (albiet not by much)...

These two cars are pretty evenly matched from a roll, and I would pop about 1.5-2 cars ahead of my buddy who has a yellow automatic SS coupe from a stop....
