i have a 2.0 but he has his eye on a 2.4 but he wants to see what he can do with 2500 bucks...

any help would be appreciated on this...

oh and is there any boost setups that he could do for this or a little above this price???

and they make white 2.4s correct????

I don't think you'll be boosting a 2.4 with 2500 unless you're going with used parts, have connections or are building some of it yourself (charge pipes, exhaust)

yes they come in white, honeslty if he were to boost a 2.4 motor he would be pushing 300whp without other mods.... id go 2.4 and a turbo...

 

a yellow ss/na was following me the other day going around a turn doing about 90mph, and he lost control and did a nice 720 on the highway and slid about 50 yards into the median. he still had dealer plates on it therefore(stock). so if he wants to put 300+whp on a 2.4, you might want to consider some suspension mods as well. but his $$$, i could care less what the kid gets, but imo, its worth getting the 2.0.

 

Have him go with the 2.4 and turbo it. That would be his best best.

easy buddy, no need to get offenssive. i was just messing around. some people need to chiiiillll. im sure 13.999 is possible on a really good day, but id have to see it. im sure you do know your ****, when is the last 2.4ss you ran down the track with a 75shot? all im trying to say is IMO, its not worth it. there are better cars out there.

Hahn is very close to finishing up their testing on the cobalt 2.4 so another 1500 and he can have 240whp 240wtq turbo 2.4.

 

I'd say a 2.4 and F/i it... you should easily be pushing 300Hp .... i'm going to put some F/i on my 2.4... it gonna be sick as hell.... save up the extra grand and you'll be hitting close to 13s you'll love it and you'll be unique.. f*** getting the 2.0 a 2.4 with F/i will make you much happier approximately the same price if you work it correctly...

 

what do you drive again?

 

gm might make a supercharger kit like the vibe and all 2.2s check the gmpp book personaly id use the 2500 down on the sssc its worth it all the hard work is done for you
