if you have a manual tranny, you could be real close to a stock ss/sc with full i/e, cams, some stock s/c 34# injectors, and a good tune. however if you have an automatic, forget it. just wait and get an ss/sc because it aint gonna come close w/o nitrous or boost.

"do i want to drive manual for the rest of my life" unless your like 80 and dont plan on living much longer, i highly doubt this will be the last car you ever own i went through the exact same reasoning before buying my ss/sc. u only live once so why not go nuts

I personally would pref the SS 2.4L and boosting it on my own. Adding the displacement (I have yet to find the specs to see any compression differences), a good tune, i/e, and a clutched eaton m62. Turn it off and on for some real weird looks :p

I have a few videos of my other vehicle that has this setup and its quite funny the looks I get.

I thought driving a stick would be cool but would be a pain in the ass at times... until i bought one.

I can't get enough of it.

Driving a stick is like doing drugs, its so addicting

with the auto, run a 100 shot of nos and you will beat most ss/sc's but risk losing the engine if not done correctly, there is a 2.2 auto around here with I/E/100 shot N20 running low 14's, tuned to perfection. otherwise, put all bolt ons available and go to the track and see, it cant hurt. our 2.4 SS sedan auto with modded Gmpp intake, exhaust, SS/SC injectors, tune, eibach sportlines will run right next to a stock SS/SC until about 80 then he pulls away slightly, he runs 14.6-14.8 stock, and i dont know what our car runs, probley 14.9-15.1, not bad for an auto. the 2.4 auto combo is within 1-3 hp less difference than a 5 speed 2.4. enjoy the car you have, always remember, turbo the 2.4 and its going to blow most cars off the road, including a SS/SC.

I really dont know how much they are worth, how mucj are they worth to you I guess. They only have 1500 miles on them max... chek out if they will fit and stuff, and if you still want them, we'll work something out!

I'd be willing to bet that once I get my #34 injectors + HP Tuners via Doc + my current setup (ARK N2 cat-back, XTC 2.5" de-cat downpipe, CA header, AEM cai), i'd have at least what the SS/SC's have to the flywheel (205hp). But then all an SS/SC has to do is throw an intake/exhaust on, and i'm already down, lol.

I felt the same way until i just bought my car, hell when i picked up the car i didnt have any experience in a stick.

It's really not as hard as you think, and its a helluva lot more fun than you think

I drove it home myself. 200 miles.

It was one of those things where i jumped in and learned it myself without help from anyone else
