Cavi z24... just looked it up...2002-05 cavi...
just wait for a supercharger or turbo setup for the scion tc (same motor) they will be releasing one for the 2.4 ss right about that time...

tc's for the most part im almost 100% sure they won't beat the ss/sc... they should be about dead on with the na/ss... i mean i think the tc's are a little lighter, but with the news that they kept up with the new civic si, that should make a lot of ss/na owners happy to know that with little mod they can keep up with or beat the new civic si... and as far as the 2.0 sc bolting up to the 2.4... um... with some work it may work... but the sad part is you can get the full LSJ motor with supercharger for about 3g's... plus the whole vvt thing... i really don't know much about it but im tired of being in the shady area of the map when it comes to that motor so tomorrow i will spend much time researching on it... um but i really think it would take a lot of work to make the 2.0 sc fit the 2.4...

As far as I know there is already a S/C out for the Scion tC... so it's just a waiting game until one comes out for the SS 2.4

TCs are heavier then 2.4L SS. One test had the car at just over 3000lbs. Plus the 2.4L VVT is more powerful---we can beat a Tc no problem---were not that slow!!

no it doesnt make about 204 and whp and with a high compression (not good) are car makes 215-220 whp (with a good compression for boost)

torque numbers im not sure thoe i know the 2.4 make 150-160 whp so with Gms s/c they said the 2.4 would get 40 whp out of it no more.
The reason for this is the 2.4 block is so big (piston size) its to thin to run to high of boost with out blowing it up (bottom end)
Unless its sleeved

there was a company on here making turbo kits for 2.2 and 2.4 then said there is no point for the 2.4 kit because it will have mad problems.

If the S/C for the 2.4 SS isnt any better than the S/C for the TC's. Then they arent going to be worth it. Here's the link for the S/C Scion TC.

Sounds like to S/C / turbo the 2.4L will cost some $$ if you want to do it safely.

Basicly that's how it is.... the 2.4 is merely a bored and stroked 2.2 that's been stuffed with VVT and a few other goodies... F/I may not end up being the best way to make power for this engine. Possibly NOS instead?

the 2.4 LD9 is the 96-02 2.4 used in the GM small cars , its a variat of the 2.3 quad 4 motors

ive got the s/c on my auto cav and have ran the best of a 14.41 @ 94

there is a trd s/c'd scion tc 5spd here in phx , and it ran a best of 14.99 , and i believe they are running more boost than i am

im at 5-7 psi

if the article im thinking about is the same as the 1 you saw the 2.4 s/c is for the 1 that is in my cav
