Looking at a 06 SS Sedan with the 5sp. Heard the tune is pretty conservative in these cars. I want something with good daily manners, not something that is peaky or needs 93 octane,

What can I expect power/performance wise?

 

So you want A decent tune for milege then. Because if you want a performance tune ur gonna want to run 93 oct. But ur not boosted or live on the west so gas is cheap.

 

These motors require 91 octane to begin with. The price difference between the two is so small, I'd recommend just getting tuned for the 93 octane. You will not gain much power with the LE5 on just a tune. Maybe 5 whp if you're lucky. I'd recommend an intake an exhaust to make potential without breaking the bank.

 

umm no, people have seen over 10whp on a good tune. One guy got 15whp and 30ft tq

 

On an LE5? Show me.

 

that wasnt max hp and max tq...... it was the highest difference between the before and after.... ill see if i can find the thread
