Everything outside of the long block is direct fit. Meaning, the induction and exhaust. What there something specific you where wondering about?

What does your insurance have to do with it?

Yes, the supercharger / manifold combination will physically fit the engine. You may need to get creative with the drive belt and the throttle / induction. And then of course you have to tune it.

Same reason I got a 2.4. Ins. would have been way too high...but I quickly learned the difference would have paid off a lot more quickly had I gone SS/SC.

when people ask "why didn't you just buy an SS/SC?" when someone w/ a 2.4 asks about a supercharger, I have a simple explanation:

To be different. Anyone can go buy a 2.0SS/SC, but it takes someone who strives to be different to want to supercharge the 2.4. Plus, 2.4 w/ FI vs. 2.0 w/ FI........the 2.4 would come out on top if everything worked well and had proper tuning.

I have no plans to add FI of any form, but I did buy the 2.4 to be different, as there are about 20 SS/SC's in my immediate area. Yes, 20, and no, i'm not bullshitting what so ever. (Theres two SS/SC's at my work alone!)

I am pretty much the only SS/SC in my area atleast so I am glad I got it. Especially silver. I have yet to see another silver SS/SC in person.

not if the ss s/c guy invested as much money in his car as you would have to.

I've seen a handful around my area... all stock i think (aside from the guys i met on here)

but i really don't care, cause all that means to me is that there are going to be more aftermarket parts available to me... (because people are buying the car.)

I did an insurance quote on the 2.4 SS and the SS / SC and the SC was actually 25 dollars a month cheaper for me!

well idk i think im going to try it after i sell my rx7 and if or when i do i will let everyone know how it goes. An the reason insurance is high for me is because im 16, and have a few speeding tickets with a crash but not my fault.

Damn, $210 a month is high as hell. For me and my wife, it is <$480 every six months.

For insurance purposes, they go by the VIN. So a hot-rodded 2.2 is the same as a stock 2.2, and NOT as high as an SS/SC.\

I had a Shelby CSX once. The hottest Dodge at the time. The title said it was a Shadow ES, because that's what they started with. The insurance was super cheap. Downside: if you total it, they pay off as if it's a cheapo.

Good one, 'lope! I missed this when you posted it. Just what I needed when I had the turbo on the 2.4 - Canned Tun(a). Why didn't I think to try that?
