I wouldn't push it too much yet because your engine is not broke in yet. To get it faster you'll need to add a catback exhaust, and also a header down pipe combo. After that get it tuned by hp tuners.

i would go more. i didn't start really doing anything to mine until 3000km and even then i only took her up to about 4500rpm and then after 5000km i let her loose on the track.

boy...did i open a can of whoop...!! thanks for the ball busting!! what i meant was, is there a time AFTER break in (whenever that is) that the engine seems to be at its full potential. i understand that this will not be as fast as my zo6 vette, BUT, i have felt that other cars seemed faster...with lower hp and same weight. don't get me wrong...i love the car...just curious

40,000 miles is usually where the engine will see it's full power potential. Keep on driving.

LMAO.....no, but my job used to require me to drive over 100 miles a day. But that's not the case anymore. Its a retired mileage ***** now. I've since moved 30 miles closer to work, and I got a few friends a job with me, so we carpool now. I went from driving about 110 miles a day everyday to driving 40 miles a day once every 4 days. I went from driving 550 miles a week for for down to 40 miles a week for work, lol. I'm lovin it.

GMPP intake alone doesnt do much (from my experience) but i would imagine that paired with some exhaust work and tune will be quite noticable

i drove mine 'normally' straight from the factory. no problems. i would just make sure your first oil change is at 3-4k miles. after that i just go by the guage and change it at 20%. this is one of my favorite things about the ecotec engines. get your revs above 5k and feel the vvt. mines pretty fast if you ask me....you just need to drive a slower car for a while, then switch back to the ss.
