if your tuned for higher octane and if you use enough of it. But no HP gains. Higher octane just burns faster and lower octane is a more complete burn.

octane does NOT = horsepower. don't waste your money, if you're asking this question i would assume you're not modded, right?

just run what the car was designed for.

You use higher octane to prevent knock. When you up the timing, chances are you're gonna start to knock due to the higher temps. So you add in more octane for safety.

Basically all Octane is does is decrease the chance of detonation.

Therefore, if you get a tune for more timing, then a higher octane will help. However, basing this on the fact that your name has LS in it, and there is no tuning yet for the 2.2's, all it would be is a waste of cash.

higher octanes are just able to be compressed more w/o detonating. lower octane (ie 81) will detonate under high pressures from the pistons. this early detonation is "knocking". All higher octane does is allow to be compressed to a higher pressure without detonating.

P.S. your car will run like a dog with one leg if you use fuel additives

lol washing the car thats funny. but i dont think you will see a significant increase in power unless you add it all the time and are tuned for whatever octane fuel plus the added octane your putting into the tank from the booster.
