Will the zzp midlength with the cat pass inspectionn in nj

 

I'm not sure why it wouldn't pass inspection? Inspections in VA, at least, only have to do with safety. Low beam, high beam, etc. Perhaps its Emissions you're more concerned about?

 

If NJ needs catalytic convertors and you have one on your midlength set-up you'll be fine, you will pass. if you need a cat for inspection and have a cat you will pass.. i know ppl in PA who make their own headers/DP/full exhaust for subarus and hondas and pass inspection. PA you need a cat so i figure NJ is the same unless you know someone....and i also have a buddy with a S2K with a catless downpipe and knows someone who owns a shop who does inspections and he passes w/o a catalytic convertor.

 

I believe in NJ its only emissions

 

If you are throwing any code related to emission then you will fail. Common one is P0420 I think. Don't really feel like going into specifics.. You must always get tuned if you start toying with Header/DP's assuming you are in an emissions area.
