2012 cruze car rental

So I'm in Iowa for two weeks for my job and sure enough they put me in a cruze...IMO not to impressed..its the LTZ. Now I rate this car 7/10 only on apperence and the interior..but just wasn't impressed with the handling of the car, touchy steering..I got better gas milage last time I was here with.the.new charger..I know its a bigger engine but cruising around 70mph in the charger I was at 2k rpm but the.crises I was above 2500 rpm..but taking the traction control off and using the electronic shift was pretty fun.

cruze steering isn't "touchy" if anything it's pretty numb.

Of course it cruises at a higher rpm. It's got a small 4 cylinder engine that needs to be in its small 4 cylinder powerband.

What did you get for actual mileage in the 2 cars?

I don't think we really will. But rumor has it that at the detroit auto show sometime this week, GM will be revealing a new chevrolet. Supposed to be a "compact-ish" car with retro styling. Something to compete with the dodge dart, I would put money on that being their new "sport compact" or as close as we probably will get.

I wouldnt mind if it had a 2.0 turbo. maybe if they have an SS trim level it will.

if you liked a charger steering you're insane... i almost wrecked my charger rental when i had one... it doesnt self center at all... i think i got like 22mpg highway with the v6 it had... seriously its the worst car i've ever driven... Cruze seems about a million times better and has about the same amount of greased string removal power as the charger.
