2014 Chevy SS?

Anyone else seen this yet? Slightly old news but I just read about it for the first time today. Looks interesting.

Chevy SS Sports Sedan: An All-New Performance Sedan | Chevrolet

EDIT: Sorry, just saw the old post about this. I don't know if people still get mad at repeat topics or not but I guess I probably can't delete this now.

ive known about it for a while, its a typical rwd v8 sedan, they wanted to give the G8 back to the market. What they are missing is a 2 door sport compact from their lineup. They seem to have abandoned the sport compact market all together for the hatchback market with the sonic. But as far as i have heard sonic sales are not nearly as good as the sales of the cobalt. In fact i havent really seen many of them on the road to be honest lol

Yup I don't even think I've seen a Sonic outside of a car dealership honestly. I'd really like them to make something else like the Cobalt. I am glad they are making this SS though. It's a nice looking car with good power!

Pretty nice car. Heard a lot about it back in January and February because NASCAR is running an ss instead of impala nameplate this year.

Sonic didn't replace the cobalt so why compare what they do? Subcompacts and smaller have almost no sales.

I felt like they should have really stepped away from the LS3. Price is tough to swallow too.

its funny, the highest selling car's for people under 30 are sport compacts like the FRS or the hyundai genesis among others, yet GM is over here like...

The wheels on the SS are not pleasing to the eye and are not aggressive. They came off a Cruze.

There Running both in nascar.

People complaing about the price.... Pfft

The new impala spec'ed out is 38K, the Nissan Maxim can be 40K.
Quit being cheap, as these will be limted and loaded, the G8 like the GTO was a great car. And actually built pretty damn good and plushy

Also I'd rather have code 130r. But the 2015 camaro is going on the ats platform and thus much smaller soooo maybe that's there game plan

With a few tweaks I would drive that. Hoping they make it soon. I would prefer not buying a Scion or Hyundai

Which cars do the 2014 Chevy SS compete with?

I already know the Dodge Charger SRT8, Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec, Ford Taurus SHO, and BMW M5. What else?

Never seen either, but they look OK.
The new SS is alright, would be sweet if it came with 2 doors and looked a little bit better. I mean it looks alright now but, could do better. Imo.

I think it might be a tough sell, starting price from what I've seen is the 40K range for the SS. They could of salvaged the G8, with some facia mods and put the SS emblem on it, my friend has a G8, and it smokes em. I've also seen Chevelle concepts on the Chevy sites.
