Is the chevelle going to be a 2 door? Malibu/Chevelle. We saw what they did to it.

Your friend must have a few mods or tuned. The fastest stock G8 GT I remember ran 13.3, the new Chevy SS ran 12.9 when tested. On average the SS is about a 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 mile. Unless your friend has the G8 GXP, which are quite rare but make more power and come with a 6spd manual.

Bump. 2015s are on the way with MT and magride. Better color selection too, perfect blue and alchemy purple at least stand out a bit and will probably make the general populace at least think to themselves "nice malibu."

Anyone's interest piqued? I'd like one but $45k is way too steep for an LS3, old-ass platform...

They're definitely cool, but I wish it didn't look so much like a Malibu. I'm a huge fan of the concept; V8 RWD manual transmission sedan, but I really am not a fan of the styling. The addition of mag ride and the MT though is a great addition by Chevy, and I hope it sells well enough.

I'd like to pick one up in 2017. The Cobalt will be 10 years old and at the rate its going will be worth about 1k on trade.

I love, love, love the fact that it looks like a Malibu.

Ever drive a Toyota Camry or some other plain jane appliance aggressively? Nobody gives a ****, lol. It's awesome.

I almost want a silver one for the ultimate sleeper.

i think the ss is similar in size to the malibu but i dont think when sat by each other they look alike at all. I dont sit in many bmw's of audi's or anything but i love the way the ss is and i would say its incredibily nice and awesome value for what it has. When you hear it's exhaust it can turn heads. just my $ 0.02

I'd rock a black one, pay homage to the 96 Impala SS.

My thoughts exactly. It's ~$50k when I went on the website and "built" one.

Crazy.

I have seen exactly ONE in person. It happened to be on the freeway at the same time as me.

Here's to wishing, hoping, and praying that they'd either come out with a cruze successor or give us it in a SS version with 5/6 speed.

Edit: The only time i've actually seen the SS car was at the dealership. So...

My neighbor 2 doors down had one. I never talked to him and I moved a couple weeks ago. I think I saw one other out there somewhere once.

I've driven a few for work, badass car no doubt. But honestly id invest in a manual g8 gxp. Cheaper, same power potential, sexier stock look imo and more aftermarket mods. The SS is built on basically the "same platform" as the g8/caprice ppv.

Its been 5 years. There is no SS version of the Cruze ever coming. The lifespan of the Cobalt was 2005 to 2010, 5 years. If they were going to do an SS version of the Cruze, it would have happened.

The 2015 is standard with magnetic ride control and a six speed manual. They also slightly updated the exterior. If you go spec one of these out there are a bunch of great colors available. These cars come loaded with everything for 45,000. Brembo brakes, nice wheelies, heated cooled seats...ect While somebody just bought a kia Sedona minivan for the same price. Or a Nissan Altima for 40,000+ Honestly I would rather buy the 2016 Camaro turbo for 26,000 and get some work going on that. Supposed to be 3,300ish-3,400lbs, compared to last gens 3,800-3,900lbs. Should be a very nice car

The cool thing is this is literally a rebadged Holden with the steering wheel on the right side(left

New cars are just too expensive these days..
