been reading that today. it looks pretty cool

If the engine didn't suck so hard I'd buy one. They really need to keep up with the Focus ST.

 

Yeah exactly that's the down side of chevy atm the engines have no power.

If they made a performance version it wouldn't be bad. I didn't think I liked hatchbacks until I bought my ST lol

 

I've always liked hatchbacks, it's not bad but it seems kinda high. kinda looks like a Nissan rogue or those type of mini suvs

 

I think the cruze looks way better than that, but I'm not a hatchback fan. Except the 2014 wax but that's my .02

That means absolutely nothing. They say that about almost every prototype at those car shows, and none are ever really considered. Besides, do you really think he'd answer the question with something realistic like "No, this is enough."? His job is to get excitement to drum up sales, and saying "no" wouldn't do that. GM stopped caring about the segment with the Cobalt SS.

 

They should to compete with the focus rs. I really dont like hatchbacks tho. Didnt really like the sedan either. I think chevy needs to ditch the cruze and start over

 

Even though it's probably a good idea to do it, they won't. GM has a disconnect with reality. They tend to think logically. For example, I remember a specific quote by Wagoner about hybrids. He was asked if GM would do it, and he said no because it doesn't make sense that a person would buy a car that costs more than you'd ever make up the cost in gas savings for. He's exactly right. Financially, it has never made sense to buy a Prius or other hybrid. However, look what happened.

I can't find the quote, but I'm pretty sure he said that somewhere.

Used to be that Ford was doing the same thing with the Focus, but now we're FINALLY getting the RS here.

 

What do you think the new Cruze hatch is based off of???

 

Nothing really since I won't get one, so doesn't really matter to me. But I guess I know now lol

 

I will wager a lot of doughnuts that in the USA we will never see a performance version of the Cruze hatch.
