A majority of consumers prefer safety features, quiet cabins, and a smooth ride. We’re the minority. GM is simply making cars with popular options. 0-60 in 6 seconds is plenty fast for your average driver. If it’s not, they can upgrade from there.

Personally, I think performance oriented cars should be manual only.

GM wanted to build a cost effective budget car. The Cobalt hit that mark. They’re not going to invest in 2 different transmission designs for the SS. We're lucky they made such a great performance bargain with top tier handling (LNF models only lol)
