v6 cruze
I was doing so searching on another forum and there was talk about that GM should try and put the 3.0 DI v6 in the Cruze. I think it would be bad 2.0t better power and weighs less but thats just me. So my question to you all is what do you think of this idea?

Obviously considering the went from a 2.2/2.4L N/A motors to a 1.8L/1.4T, means they arent considering big displacement anymore. The biggest motor that will probably ever be in the Cruze will be the 2.0T, thats it, IF that ever happens.

It will never happen

PS. Most companies are getting away from the V6. Why a 6 when they can do a 4cycl with a small turbo for cheaper, and the same stock performance.

I might be the only one - But I think they should keep the LNF and just say the 'Cruze' is a Cobalt remodel. Cobalt has only been in circulation for what... 4 years? I really like the new look but I think it should be a cobalt.
I agree with the 4 cyl over 6 cyl though

Cobalt was one of GMs most neglected models. The Cobalt was produced for SIX friggen model years and NEVER recieved a refresh. Thats almost unheard of. Most cars go 2-3 MAX before recieving at least new bumpers, updated headlights, refreshed interior, etc.

And no they shouldnt call it a Cobalt, it looks nothing like it. If anything, the Cobalt should of been called a Cavalier. They had the same body lines. They should just drop the LNF in it, throw "SS" on it, and be done. The LNF is coming out in Buicks, so it'll still be around, so I don't see why they can't do it. I dunno. I'm sure someone will total their Balt, and throw the built LNF or LSJ in it somehow. But they need to make it look alot more sportier before I can take it serious.

Exactly, and works out better for US. We got a modable (for the most part) car. Hence the new Sonata, with a 274hp 2.0L Turbo DI motor. Thats awesome. Reflash and im sure it will be at or near 300whp.

hardly. They never addressed the key concerns with the cobalt. Had they done a mid life refresh in '08 and tweaked the front clip/rear clip and more importantly revamped the interior, they might had sold more in the last fee model years...but GM didn't care and sales reflected that

So when the SS from went from LSJ to LNF that wasn't a refresh? More hp/trq, better suspension, nicer rims? I mean its not much but imagine if we had the LSJ from 05-10 and the LNF never existed.
