hmmmm you'll have to let me know how it goes man, if you have some good success with it I could see multiple LNF owners wanting to do the same.

You can always install some washers behind the spring to increase the pressure, have fun installing it though its a pita to get to.

i installed a 2mm thick washer with the stock spring and it is alot crisper and it doesnt leak. any bigger than 3mm washer and the spring will be so compressed the recirc valve will never open.

Exclamation How To Remove/Replace Stock Recirculation Valve Spring

1) remove rear half of stock intake assembly (section from air box to turbo inlet)

2) always good idead to tape from of turbo inlet with 3m painters tape to keep stuff out.
3) remove vacumm line to recirculation valve spring cover(right above turbo inlet mine is tan colored)
4) remove 10mm bolts holding tan cover to turbo housing(there are three in a triangle pattern) see above picture for #3
5) remove recirculation cover with last bolt, the spring pressure will push the cover off so be ready to collect parts as you reach the end of the last bolt. then just simply pull out cover, spring, and valve with seal built into it.

this is with the 2mm washer i installed to increase spring pressure slightly

6) reinstal seal with valve, put new spring behind that, hold cover against turbo and thread in two bolts closest to firewall those are easiest. now you can let go and put the third one by motor in. (note: use medium grade locktite on 10mm bolts)
7) tighten down in even patern, make sure the seal falls into place, it should line up itself but no one wants leaks so double check that.
8) tighten 10mm to no more than hand tight. (5ftlbs)
9) reinstall rear half of intake, and connect hoses.
10) test drive baby!!!

POSTED IN HOW TO SECTION AS OF 12/10/08 9:31PM AND IS AWAITING APPROVAL
