BOV spring upgrade
i leaked 2lbs and the wassher gained it back and made the recirculation function slightly crisper. it doesnt sound like air escaping for a long time it ends a little bit sooner since the spring pressure is increased.
gains: none so far just little sound difference, mostly stock sounding. this would be nice to have for high boost factory turbo with tune operation. i just dont have the tuning half yet very soon though very soon.
im not telling you dont make a how to, just dont want you to do it and put time down to have a mod say its already been done and delete your work. that sucks ive had that happen lol. made a nice how to for like a hour and then they said already got it dont need it.

i just did this about 3 hours ago. The sound is much more crisp and it seems to hold boost a little better all the way to redline. It could just be my imagination but for $10 it seems like a nice cheap mod
dejon isn't a paying css.net vendor so not even reg css.net members can post new products up to show the LNF community they have more options for parts. They decided to run this forum as a business instead of a forum......*shakes head* whats happened to the world?? Everyone is so ******* money hungry these days.......it's sickening......a forum isn't supposed to be an advertising site it's supposed to be a forum where ppl can freely talk about different topics and post new products and info they discover so it can be freely shared among the forum members........css.net decided they wanna make money off all this info......Capitalism=FAIL........and the ppl wonder wtf is wrong with our economy......
hey i got the spring in the mail today. took about 20 minutes to put and it sounds great. its a lot louder and sounds cleaner but not annoying like the srt 4's. it definitely feels a little quicker because it seems like it holds boost better because i was not able to get any traction tonight in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear. 10 bucks well spent.
the mod is definately worth it......im leaking boost bc of that damn spring so i'd definately get this if i weren't slapping a block off plate where the bypass is and going with the same companies cp'ing with BOV in like a week.....but for ppl whose cars are boosting 23lbs. or so i'd say go ahead and upgrade so u dont start leaking boost from there like me.....
i lost most boost down low where the spring does alot of its work, up top im sure i wasnt leaking cause of that psi + spring factor.
my snap on modis will take a histogram and i recorded it increase the boost low end after replacement.
plus the psi wont help the spring until it actually reaches the pressure of the spring . my spring is 12 pounds so until i hit 13 psi then the spring is doing most of the work. you dont add them together and get 13lbs with 1psi. 12lbs with 1lb of psi is still 12lbs thanks to the spring.
my stock spring measured out to be 8 pounds thats way weak since i measured a brand new stock spring from the chevy parts department at 9 lbs
there is no reason to really fight over the pressure differences its a 10$ mod and labor is FREE if you do it your self or have a connection. my note to everyone would be to install the upadated spring if your keeping the stock turbo.
