LNF UPGRADE (2 Days in Shop) HELP PLEASE

Ok,

I'm new to the site but use it frequently. I need some help.... I need my Car back. Currently it's sitting in a GM Dealer garage with the SS/TC LNF Upgrade installed and ECU Flashed and it's not working.

Information:

Day 1: At first test Drive:
- The mechanic drove the car at a 50km steady for 5 min then when he went to hit it a pop noise happened and all turbo was lost. (Didn't get past 40Kpa). Apparently problem was a vacuum line popped off due to the clamp not on tight.
- Then for 5 min after car would start (Day End)

Day 2:
- New clamp attached (apparently) and the car started.

At Second test Drive (told it was done):
- Car started fine
- Drove steady at 50km for 3 min. I could hear a the boost a lot more then Stock
- Car felt sluggish and very slow to pick up. (it was slower then stock)
- Then gave it 3/4 peddle (boost went to 50kpa) and it was slow, slow, slow.
- A couple seconds of 3/4 peddle the turbo died again.......... Grrrrrrrr.
- Drove it back to the dealer (no turbo)

The garage thinks it may be a crack in a tube or hose or what ever it is runnin from the intake out and they have to order from the states.

Please help me out with this so i can get my baby back.

Anyone have simaler problem with this upgrade? Anyone require additonal parts other then the LNF package?

Thank you,

Sounds like the dealer doesn't know ****..... Better hope they aren't gonna charge you for the two days.

Hope you get everything worked out.

Boost leak maybe? have them check the rubber piece on the bypass valve for a tear. Have them tighten down your charge piping too. Sounds like this dealer kinda sucks...

Get yourself a free loaner car and let them figure out whats wrong with it, this is why you have a warranty.

Check all your charge piping The stock hot side has actually split wide open a few times.

I just had stage 1 installed on my ss/tc and the tech didn't even test drive it which part of my was happy nobody did any spirited driving in my car. But on the other hand i was a little worried if it was correctly installed. So far so good.

Thank you, I have a loner car (4 door G5) ... I'll tell them to take a look as listed and yes the dealer is very lazy about this. Will the Hahn charge pipe void my warrenty? I spent the extra coin to get the extended on it.

Thanks again for the help i will keep this updated.

If the tech was doing his job right he would go for a 3 to 5 minute drive with the tech II hooked up and look for codes.

Ive seen them installed but mine is still 3 weeks away

I took my car to the dealer with my Injen piping, they told me I was good to go and I quote "with any thing that bolts onto the engine"... meaning pretty much bolt-ons... they just told me a tune, etc. would void it... which is why I had the spare stock ECM in, lol

I also have the extended on my car... they had the car in the air and didn't even notice the downpipe.. the guy in charge actually told me how nice under the hood of my car looked(have the SS hood liner as well)... its probably dealer dependent, but mine was cool with it

-You know i dont think these guys have driven anything fast or know what Turbo is..... It told him it was cutting out at like 4psi and he thought that was high...... "are you serious" I told them to hop in a the Camero SS they had there take it for a drive and if my car feels slower then Camero it's installed right.
Very irratating.

-I could send it to another dealer but the time would just be longer. Believe me if it would makes things fast i would.

-Well i might have to look at some new pipes for it.

Hey I had the same problems but not with the stage kit, but from what you say it sounds about the same...What they found was their was a piece of metal from the car that punctured a hole in my intercooler as well as a cracked pipe around the intake somewhere...so maybe thats it?? I dunno might be something totally diff but thought id try n help....hope everything works out!

I think you should take it to another dealer. Obviously these guys have no clue what they're doing. Even if it takes a little more time, at least it will be fixed the right way.

i had my stage 1 installed and when i picked it up from the dealer and took it for a drive it was boosting less then when i droped it of, was boosting 15 psi, picked up and boosting like 10 or 11. i said this isn't right and called the service manager, told him i didn't think the flash took and it needed re-flashed. droped it back of the next morning and they re-flashed the ecu and all was well. was boosting 21 to 22 psi and the car felt realy quick...i was happy.

Ok, Update for all in case this problem happens to them. It was the Pipe that runs from the from the intake out to the turbo. If i have that right. A crack in it killed the turbo (no vacuum)

Thanks for all the help everyone, Finally have my baby back

I was going to guess cracked IC tank, since I just went thru this same thing twice in 2 weeks. If you blow the coldside tube, it pushes the IC forward and cracks the tank on the front where the bracket ends. Good to hear u got it fixt.
