06 ss sc supercharger boost
Ok first question wats the safest and highest psi of boost u can push on a stock sc? Wat mods can I do so I can make the boost higher? Has anyone heard of hp tuners and wat can the standard pcm suite control and mod?
Sry know nothing about sc but a lot bout TC lol

Thats all relative to what your goals are. Some have pushed the stock SC to 20+ psi. it is out of its efficiency range around 15 psi IIRC. Its all done by changing pullies on the Supercharger. The lower the pully, the faster the supercharger spins creating more boost. however, you also create a ton of heat. so that needs to be mitigated somehow. HP Tuners is the primary tuning tool for Cobalts. There is also Trifecta, and a lot of argument about which one is better. What are your goals?

300whp you mean? unless you want to do some head work, decently large injectors, very small pulley and E85 or nitrous then those numbers are quite obtainable with the m62. If not then up grade to a tvs and 300whp mark would be much easier and less of a hassle. just more money

Smaller pullies don't necessarly make more boost. If you add a smaller pulley and a less restrictive exhaust it will probably stay the same. The more restriction you have the more boost. You should measure the air flow opposed to the actual boost level.

a used tvs would cost you somewhere between 1200-1600 depending on miles and seller. you will also need to upgrade, injectors, id say a downpipe at least, and some cooling mods. If you have acess to E85 then your golden. Just make sure you have a good tuner(LSJ familar) near you or able to tune you. WOT afrs once tuned should be somewhere in 11.5-12.3 max range. everything else depends on your tune

If I were you, I would start small and work your way up. If youre ballin on a budget, start with a stage kit and tune and continue modding from there. You aren't gonna see 300-350hp on the m62 unless you drop some serious cash on some serious mods.
Also, keep this in mind. The smaller the pulley, the more heat. The more heat, the more cooling mods you are gonna need to drop money on.

Read this first -
Modification recommendations for 2.0L Cobalt SS or Ion Redline | ZZP News
Then you will begin to understand what direction you might want to go.
I started with a Trifecta tune and Cold Air Intake. Got some power
Then 42# injectors and 2.9" pulley - More Power but more heat (good power when SC is cool and sluggish when hot)
Got header (Badmab shorty) different sound maybe a bit more power (heat still an issue)
Got 2nd Heat Exchanger, Option B and replaced Intercooler pump. No more heat problems = more Power from mods.
Also got Methanol injection (to be installed) for more power. (added cooling of intake air)
Need to upgrade injectors to 60# and going to 2.8 as well
Along the way need new clutch (more power = chance of clutch showing weakness)
Also upgraded transmission mounts and added an Ingalls Stiffy to avoid wheel hop which is bad for axles amongst other things.
How did I learn all this. READ READ READ articles.

I just purchased a 2006 ss sc that has 60 lb injectors and a 2.7 pulley on it . It has the the stage three kit . And runs coolant temps between 180-200 . It has a 2.5 inch magna flow cat back and zzp down pipe . It runs about 18 psi of boost . It runs great . But I don't know if it has new cams in it. I have contacted a professional macanic And friend. But what should i do if there isn't aftermarket cams? Down size pulley and retune?
