Thumbs up 4 gallon flow thru tank OPTION

I promised a log... better yet heres a comparisson of my 2.7 pulley'd car w/ this tank vs a 2.8 pulley'd car on meth that I tuned. Notice the 2.8 pullied car has a lower iat1

Excuse my afr goin into the 10s midway thru my pull. I have my wideband's power rigged up so that i can unplug it or plug it in conveniently via the 12v cig plugs. I accidently unplugged it midway thru

Excuse the crude drawing of the LSJ intercooler system. Just thought I'd share something Euthanasia recently designed for his car.

It's a completely stock LSJ intercooler system with just a added 4 gallons of a hatrickstu mod on steriods.

Originally a mod commonly seen on a Mustang... now on a So Cal Cobalt SS/SC

Hoses connecting the tank with the IC system are run underneath the car along the subframe.

that's rediculous, haha. No idea what to say about this, but if it's functional and beats out the results of the common tank placement, bravo.

Unfortunately can't list a price on this mod. I'm not a vendor, and nor is the brains behind this crazy experiment Euthanasia. Just here to show what it's done for a stock cooling system.

If you shoot Euthanasia a PM outside of CSS. I'm sure you can work out some sort of personal sale via another method.

I plan on running this w/ a 2.5 pulley in due time.

---

For those of us w/ a pulley smaller than a 3.0 w/o meth and you auto x. This may just come in handy... lol

Thanks for the kind words everyone

I'll definitely relay this to Euthanasia if he hasn't yet seen this thread already.

Next pay check I'll be driving over to Euthanasia for my very own 4 gallon flow thru!

If you have the means, do it!

If you need any help, I know Euthanasia is trying to get this addition universally into any water to air setup intercooler system on the market. Shoot him a PM if you need any help

Easier to draw, and less confusing for those who aren't familiar w/ our intercooling system.

The car being tested is running a completely stock intercooler system in addition to the 4 gallons w/ a 3" pulley on the m62.

Unless I'm missing something the log screenshot shows IATs under a short cruise... and they are 29* above ambient?

My Dual Pass only set-up cruises exactly 29* over ambient..

We need to see some long pulls

definately! thanks for badass thread. I hate that people can't do small business like your buddy who copied this idea. They just don't want small busness to succeed because then they don't get their cut. How much do supporting vendors pay? anyone know?

And this tank was able to match your dual pass by just adding water. lol

If euthanasia thru a dual pass in, it would improve flow overall and do what the dual pass does best...

I'm waiting on him to finish building his head, and we'll begin testing more with his MP1900 TVS blower in WOT. Makes 22 lbs on a 3.6 pulley, so it should provide us with plenty of heat.

Just the way it works...

Another method to route the tank; it may actually be more efficient. (Kudos to Shaunmcdee for the paint skillz)

just curious where and how you were able to rote all lines to the trunk, the hole in the firewall seems like it would be too small for two 3/4 hoses.

it isn't routed thru the car

it's routed over the passenger side steering rack, and along the subframe. A 3-4" inconspicuous hole is drilled in the trunk for the hoses to be routed in.
