fantasy build thread

now before i even say what it is that im thinking i want to remind everyone that there is no crime in exercising the mind....i was hoping that this could be a thread in which the scrambled ideas of the poor and misguided could be put on paper so we could all enjoy the ideas that each other come up with. i guess you could call it a fantasy build thread

my first idea was if the cobalt ss/sc's lsj was mounted in the rear, it would be rear wheel drive and plus plenty of room for twin turbos...thoughts? oh and feel free to expand on my idea

i thought that awd would be awesome but i dont like the power loss that comes with it. but it is still pretty cool idea.

on a cobalt?

le5, typical short block build, aiming for 12ish to 1 compression, wild cams, long tube headers and a 6 speed gear box.

My balt is sitting pretty at the moment with a 2" ( i think from the sportlines ) drop, rims, the 2.4L VVT turbo kit (from HAHN).

The only main thing for me now is my tranny.

I ran it the other day and hit a whopping 13.584 @ 104

I'm really shooting for the high 11's, low 12's. and be daily driven.

Car has 34k miles on it, so I got time to play with it still.

Fully built and reliable LSJ with harrop TVS supercharger and nicely done exterior/interior putting out 450-500fwp with the capability of running 12's and almost 11's.

As for the fantasy engine build, see my thread

I would then want to rotate the engine 90 degrees, and install a solstice drivetrain

For a Cobalt...

My car + its current mods + custom drilled 20" black/polished lip 5-zigen Hyper 5ZR's, full AUTHENTIC Bomex bodykit, OEM style cf hood, cf trunk, cf fuel door (ebay has them, and yes they're legit), cf b-pillar covers, black housing headlights + Vision 6000K HID kit, Modern Performance/BC coilovers, SSBC front/rear big brake kits, CA stainless steel brake lines, JBP tri-flow cams, full JBP valve train, port/polished cylinder header, 3 angle valve job, big bore tb, ImpulseBaller cf dash trim, ImpulseBaller custom cf sub enclosure in trunk w/ some kinda crazy stereo, Aeroforce interceptor gauge + CA column mount pod, powercoated valve cover.......ummm.......

lol, yeah, so thats my crazy "if I ever get rich and decided to retire my car into a show car" idea. Fourtunantely for my wallet, my only plans I REALLY have left for the SS is tint, tuning, camber correction kit, install my trans mount bushings, drag radials and some Modern Performance floor matts, lol.

How about a balt with this motor. It's Light and might fit under the hood. This small v-8 is a perfect fit for the balt. Lets remember it's 800hp, so we need to shift to rear wheel drive. http://www.indycar.com/tech/engines.php

This will turn some heads at the stop light

I would like the TVS, cams, coil-overs, wheels, that concept widebody kit from gm, suncoast hood, reforged internals, and a trans that can handle the full potential of that sc.... now if you will excuse me, I need to go scratch some lotto tickets

all you need is a balt and a chainsaw. I think it would look good. Give it a try and post some pics.
