Update:

BTF is still working on fabbing the secondary fuel tank that will be placed inside the trunk.
We are hoping that everything will be finished by the week-end after Thanksgiving.
Then tuning begins....

for the past few months, wife and I have been very busy moving into the new house and unpacking. Also been attending pregnancy/baby classes.

Also working with Median Magazine to feature my car. They ended up having a 5-page spread article for LIPSTICK.

I'm hoping that the car will be on the cover of Median Magazine once the build is finally finished, and have another feature that will include more about the build, fabrication, tuning, dyno and etc.

MEDIAN MAGAZINE will be the best source for local high performance automotive news in the Northeast Region of America. All the top shops. The big builds. Products and services from local companies. Tech articles. It's all gonna be there.

check out the facebook account: http://www.facebook.com/mobileprotec...ianMag?fref=ts

sorry for the blurry photos of the pages of Lipstick:

Matt, did you read that the ZZP stage 1 cams were mentioned on the article? ;)

I see that. Thanks for the plug!

Stamina 11-15-2012 11:45 PM

The article is well-written and well-researched, for instance, about the WWII aircraft. Many don't know about how those planes pioneered some of the water/meth injection, two stage turbo/supercharging, nitrous, etc. technologies/improvements back then. The guy writing this is obviously an educated guy.

I noticed they mentioned cams twice in the parts list breakdown. I realize that the ZZP Stage 1 cams are a fueling mod, but putting "LNF camshaft" on the engine list also is inaccurate. Though the Stage 1 cams are a fueling mod, they aren't straight LNF cams either. He also made it singular. Are you running the LNF camshaft on the exhaust side and the ZZP Stage 1 on the intake side or something?

its actually my mistake. When they asked me for a mod list....I sent them that.

it supposed to be LNF crankshaft

Last time Antonio shared with us that the car would be done but its not a priority due to a new addition to the family. Lipstick will start being tuned come summer.

sorry for being out for a long time.

Lots of life changing event. Built a house and had a baby last Dec 7, 2012.

My baby Sufina Bree is about 5.5 months.

She occupies most of my time lately.

also been busy with other forums about home improvement, as well as with my new car a 2012 Nissan Leaf :)

Been on other forums pertaining to Solar Panels, since Im planning to install a 7.2kw system soon.

that's why finances towards the compound build has been at the back burner.

I communicated to BTF lately since I may have some money again....so he can start working on it again....lol

Here are some updates:
Last month, he actually started the engine. He revved the throttle, the motor rocked over and snapped the nipple of the canister valve since its so close to the ABS. so that needs to be worked on.

He also discovered that due to the system size, that the custom end tank of the radiator needs to be modified due to fitting issues. This will be a dual pass radiator system.

He also found out that the drainback slope issue to be solve with the primary turbo being too low and up front.

And lastly having to go around with lots of hot stuff of the compound set-up that needs to be managed in order not to melt important wires/hoses/etc.

custom intake manifold w/ port injectors installed.....with custom 3" intake pipe
also using a 2.4 throttle body

Attachment 37647

Vibrant Quick release boost braces will be welded on the pipes @ intercooler and TB/compressor.
these will keep couplers from popping off at high boost pressures. Every 10 psi of boost = 80lbs of pull force on 3" pipe. We are planning to go around 45-60psi :)
Attachment 37648

we need to really think about all these kind of stuff with this kind of build. Every lil aspect will make it last longer
