Disco Potato turbo definitely made the the system way snappier and wakes the Gt4294r up alot faster

At 6200rpm - 52lbs ve flow (40psi)

Too bad at 3800 (35psi), the vibrant vanjen clamp broke today! :(

I believe time to upgrade to Wiggins Clamp!

Well this morning was my first time to drive her around the city and highway to get used to with the new power. I'm sory no videos since I don't have a gopro. I wana do it with my phone but it will not be safe.

All I can say is, even with the low boost setting (37psi), it as so worth the wait! Instant spool by 2800 rpm and full boost by 4500rpm! The sound of the engine and the look of the car are such an attention whore!

I can't wait to ty the high boost setting (45psi)

love the hood

Snail_SS 09-19-2016 08:21 AM

So much win on that car!

colodude18 09-19-2016 12:39 PM

Great to see an update on this!
Did you get her on the dyno yet?

thanks guys.

last year, before my bates block died, with s1 cams, and stock head.....it only made less than 500whp at 35psi on the mustang dyno. The head was lifting and giving us all sorts of trouble so we stopped dyno

This year, we upgraded to a zzp girdled block, s2 cams, and some headworks, and started boosting above 37psi. I currently have a low boost (37psi) and high boost settings (45psi). But didnt get the chance to go on the dyno.
We are assuming the low boost setting is at least 530whp on mustang dyno

here's the road tuning that BTF made for me.

As you can see the boost is high, BUT the timing is only 7 degrees, AND no signs of any knock whatsover.

It can easily gets way more whp/tq if we bump that timing to 15-20 degrees. We can do that later on, since the power is way more than I can enjoy especially on the streets.

Just want to get comfortable with the power first....then later upgrade for more power. Safety first :)

Why wouldn't you run more timing at less boost? I made 511 @ 27.3psi

Haven07 09-19-2016 09:57 PM

Badass build, makes me want a sky

Sharkey 09-20-2016 02:22 AM

be careful with the timing that low, itll drive the egt through the roof

I believe the LNF loves timing and makes more whp/tq with it

but remember that with compounds, it loves high boost.
having two turbos, we have to make each of them happy with their respective PRs.

The interactions between the two turbos is the key, or it will run like crap

We played with different PRs of both turbos, and with my current set-up, and this is where both of them are happy.

Trust me it was a very frustrating tuning experience since the set-up is very complicated.

That's why we focused on finding the right PRs first. Then we can just add more aggressive timing later.

car runs perfectly right now, without any hiccups. The transition between the small and big turbo has no hiccup, which is awesome.
Even the injection of methanol by the port injectors is very smooth.
These are the key at the moment, and I love the way she drives and plenty of power in the streets.

We'll add more aggressive tuning later.

thank you! Yes, they're under control at the moment! :)

SKY888 09-20-2016 06:51 AM

the big issue with my current set-up is my oil catch can.

It's collecting some oil during very high boost.

Afraid that the turbos will be sucking oil.

What have you guys done with your OCC set-up?

colodude18 09-20-2016 10:28 AM

Powell PCV system v3.

You'll have to talk to John since I imagine there will be a few extra lines with compound turbos.

sweet, thanks colodude

BTF is more than qualified to be handling tuning on this car. I can't wait to see her turned up!

KMO43 09-23-2016 11:50 AM

What fuel are you running? Full methanol on the port side? What in the DI side? How are you controlling boost MBCs?

93 octane (DI)

VP m5 (PI)

Small turbo - HPtuner

Big turbo - electronic boost controller (turbosmart eboost 2)

KMO43 09-25-2016 05:15 PM

I'd run the DI on E47 can turn up the spool
