Ls to SS Rear Brake swap?

Ls to SS Rear Brake swap?

NOt sure if this is ther right place to ask so please forgive me.

I want to replace the rear drum brakes on my 05 Cobalt LS with disk brakes. What would it take to ues the rear disk brake setup from a Cobalt SS? Is there any other options available? Thanks guys.

not sure if anyone has done this mod yet, seems like a good project tho. if you need them i have the left and right rear calipers from the SC SS if ya want them, pm me if your interested

rear beam, youll need some way to adjust the proportioning. otherwise the rears will lockup when you tap the brakes.

I did this swap on FASTPACEDMOTORSPORTS car in 2008, you need the
rear bear from disc equipped cobalt,
uncut ebrake cables,
rear hub bearings (if beam assembly you get doesnt have them),
rear calipers and rotors (if rear beam doesnt have them),
5 lug wheels,
extra lug nut per side

that is all

What about swapping to the brembo's on the ss/tc? is that a waste of money/time?
