Both of my engines are the 2.0 LSJ. I managed to get all the components for them.
It really sounds like you are heading for the JBP Wild Crate engine which is based largely on my build.

Yeah they should perhaps update it a bit but remember, if they can build mine all the same parts can be used for yours. I also believe they still have the only other, already made custom billet crankshaft.

Sadly most of my parts list are parts JBP has had custom made for them by other companies with agreements that they get to be the distributor for those companies. This is why there are such few parts available for our engines. Hardly anyone wanted to go through the hassle.
I do have a parts list but I don't have part numbers, so the list won't likely help.

As for FWD, if I was willing to go Automatic, I too would still be FWD.

after all said and done, I think if I was going for 1000hp I'd start with the 2.2L and follow the build book. You end up spending so much extra money trying to get the parts to work in the 2.0L

The parts have all been made. It is simply a matter of ordering those parts and waiting for them to be produced.

As well, you do realize that the race 2.2 is destroked to a 2.0 right?

On top of that GM racing wants $4000. just for the billet crankshaft. You are not going to save money buying from GM, not at their inflated prices. Believe me, I looked long and hard before I bought my parts. For the most part I am the one who has already paid for the "custom" aspect of these parts. Now it is a matter of ordering.

If I knew then what I know now, I would never have started this or at the very least I would be running that auto tranny.

Good luck on your project. I really hope to hear/see much more from you.

okay, so you went with JBP for pretty much all of your engine parts?

so if i called them up and mentioned your build do you think i could order roughly the same parts you did?

also did you order directly from them? cause they say only dealers can order from them, everyone else has to go through an authorized reseller. BS if you ask me

If I were you I would email them and explain what you are up to and what your goals are. From there they will be able to point you to where you want to go. The parts that he has distribution deals on he will helps with and other parts he will help with as well. Reference my project (sorry it won't get you any discount) and your desire to produce the same type of power. Mev is very helpful, just be patient as I really have im running short on time. I know he hasn't had time to be on here but he does get his email daily.

PS

I was dealing with JBP long before they went to the distribution system. If you are serious about a wild crate engine, especially if it was built by them, you would end up dealing directly with JBP.

If I may ask, what do you plan to do with the car? If you are going to put that much money into it why not just get a dedicated track car like a Radical?

They are doing 2 of these engines for me and it was their Ecotec experience that convinced me to go with them. Originally I started out just wanting their stage 2 head, seriously.
