LSJ z-body swap info/thought thread

I owned an 01 Saturn sc2 for three years before I had a bad hub-centric ring failure on my konigs on the freeway. I loved the car, looking like a 2d coupe with the hidden third door especially, The mods I had were modest, but I dreamed daily about doing the lsj swap into my 3rd gen coupe.

Relevance:

Since I'm dropping a used lsj in my ssBalt, I will have the original block to rebuild and do something with. And if it were worth it, performance wise, to go ***** deep swapping into a lighter platform, the Balt could very well become a total parts car. I've done some research, but to my knowledge, a lsj swap into the z-body has not been completed.

I've helped with a few honda swaps before, but this is totally different, and I understand fab work and $$$ will be involved.

I know there was sixthsphere member boostinsidewayz, ran a 12.94 with cams, spray, and slicks on his 2nd gen. I'm assuming about 200whp depending on the shot.

The Lsj puts down 205 from the factory with supercharger, and most see 300+ with turbo swap, which probably would be necessary because the bay doesn't have clearance for the supercharger.

2001 Saturn sc2 curb weight: 2460lb
124 hp 1.9 dohc 4cyl

2007 cobalt ss/sc curb weight: 2925lbs
205 hp 2.0 dohc sc'd 4cyl

This is basically a food for thought thread, please feel free to comment, and don't be a dick.

Link to the only video I have left of my old Saturn when it was running well. I know it's not fast, now anyways, lol.

If you can make it fit, it will work. If you're prepared to build mounts and manifolds and custom route everything you should be fine.

Some one already put the LSJ in a sc2. Kept the m62. No room for a clean straight turbo swap.

Go on sixthsphere.

I'll have to check 6sphere out again, I posted the the thread on CSS though because there are members on here, after reading many extensive posts about cobalts, that I just wouldn't mind input from. There's some guys on here that have pioneered the way and have opinions that are bar none. I can't help but notice
