Rods
Hey guys quick question. Does anyone know if the 2.2 rods and the 2.0 rods have the same big end diameter? If they do it will save me alot of time and money. If anyone has any info on this please share.

You can not use the LSJ rods in a L61 without using the GMPP piston set specifically for that application. That is what the build book talks about. The LSJ rod uses a larger piston pin and has a different length. The crank journal is the same.
If you already have a set of L61 pistons, then you need a set of L61 rods. Eagle make the perfect set fairly cheap as well.

2.2 rods and pistons should fit without a problem. As long as you dont try to mix and match between the two.
I believe the c-c lenth on the lsj rods are the same as the l61 rods.
Here is some info that was dug up by me and sunfire joe.
Rod C-C Lenth.........................144.84mm or 5.702 Inches
Thickness above Rod Pin............6.01mm .237 inches
Small End width Rod..................24mm or .945 inches
Connecting Rod
ˇ Connecting Rod Bearing Clearance 0.029-0.069 mm 0.0011-0.0027 in
ˇ Connecting Rod Bore Diameter - Bearing End 52.118-

I allready have diamond pistons that were custom made to fit the eagle rods, I just wanted to make sure the eagle rods would fit my crank. Thanks CPP

Wait, I misunderstood. You have an LSJ. I thought you had an L61.
You have a problem. If you have Diamond pistons made for an L61, you are not going to be able to use them in your LSJ.
Here's how it works. This is a commonly confused issue:
You can use a COMPLETE rotating assembly from any LSJ or L61 in any LSJ or L61. By complete, I mean crank, rods and pistons.
You CAN NOT use just one part of a rotating assembly from one engine with the two parts from a different engine. There is ONLY ONE exception to this rule. You can use LSJ rods in an L61 engine IF you use the GMPP piston set made specifically for that purpose (as I said in my previous post)
You have an LSJ crank and L61 pistons. The only way you are going to get those to work together is with a custom rod. LSJ and L61 rods are not the same length.
The best thing you could do is return your pistons and get the correct ones.

^^^Well actually they are lsj pistons, they just have a different pin size. I think we have a little confusion over whether or not they are the same length. If I have to order custom ones it could take 6 weeks and cost lots of money.
