I wouldn't want you to break it on your way over here lol.
Besides, this was about who makes the most power remember? You can't measure that on the street. First of all, I don't street race, second of all, I don't do drags period because I suck at launching.
I'm a road track guy. If you're willing to drive to SLC, you're certainly willing to drive another 8 hours to my road circuit here. Then we can have some fun

I thought it would be cool to see a race between a 67 and 71 that are only 1hp apart. I'm going to Utah to meet up with a group of guys I tuned. I've wanted to do an American road trip for years and since Utah is only 12hrs away and have E Jon and I are going to go there

Yes, please test and share results/findings! No one has really done a detailed test or shared the concept of retard timing a tooth ect. We need conclusive evidence so we can make gains past that stupid limit. All your efforts would be extremely appreciated, as most of us don't have the time or resources to experiment.

Ya will do. I pay a lot for dyno time but if it comes down to making more hp on my car I will test it

Per Matt at ZZP, they don't do the modified phasers anymore. Just a heads up.

Zzp doesn't mechanically modify the phasers, all they do is change the timing marks back a tooth or two, atleast that's how Matt explained it years ago. They don't have "custom phasers" that I've heard of or seen.

Can anyone explain why they do that? I understand that as rpms increase you want to retard the intake cam timing, so is this just to improve flow at high rpms?

I would have thought that a modified phaser would be able to make cam changes after 7400rpm
