Throttle Body bore sizes

Does anybody know for sure what stock throttle body bore size is for either the LE5 or LSJ in the delta platform?

Using HPtuners, and taking the ETC scalar number, dividing it by 3.14, then taking the square root of that and multiplying by 2 I'm coming up with ~59mm for the LE5 and ~61mm for the LSJ. The solstice guys are claiming 63.5mm actually measured by hand stock for the Kappas. They have an upgrade available that is a measured ~68mm diameter.

I don't know if my numbers that I came up with out of HPtuners are actually what is measured at our throttle bodies, but if thats right, then I might have an idea.

Anyone see what I'm getting at?

2 things:

1)get me part numbers, and you know I'll find out. If I have time I can get the part numbers.

2)We might use the same TB as the kappa guys, and that discrepancy is area occupied by the butterfly. I have no clue really on this, I am just throwing that idea out there.

Damnit, I didn't think of that. I'll see if I can find numbers.

I can't see why a Kappa and a Delta TB would be different, but if they are, I'll be looking around in a junkyard soon.

a larger TB is only useful if the engine is gonna suck enough air to use it. call me stupid, but i'd think that if the one in use was too small, GM would have made it larger.

My car happens to ingest more air than a comparable stock one.

Sure, in stock trim. Anyone looking to do this obviously has a little more done to their car, with a little more air flow.

When I say little, read A LOT

On the redline forum, they are saying that the LSJ throttle body is a 76 mm bore at the inlet with a 56-58 mm bore at the butterfly.

LOL, i can tell you that number is GREATLY exaggerated. I am looking at the drawings right now, and the OUTSIDE diameter of the TB is only 75mm, so i doubt the INSIDE is 76mm

I don't doubt that the number might not be perfect. I just did a google search for LSJ throttle body bore and that is how I linked over to the Redline forum. I have looked at mine. I just haven't pulled it off to measure it. But if someone can come up with one that is bigger than the SMS Big Bore, I will grab it.
