yea man im hoping with my 7gph nozzle ill be able to run some aggressive timing since teh corn hasnt made it here yet. gona be running a 2.8 for now although smaller may be in my future.

 

did you ever dyno your TVS setup or preferably run it in the 1/4 mile?

 

on a 2.9 pulley and stock motor it made 329/272 with 1 pull of tuning lol

 

good stough man. With the mods that i already have on the car id like to see 350whp, but when i go to the strip and start trapping 110+ is where ill really be happy

 

Still can't decide on TVS or turbo

TVS I can get, also some coils and a new set of tires for a cheaper price than a turbo kit,
Tvs is more reliable too..

Decisions decisions...

 

i threw around this idea for a long time. But for me this is what i decided. I road race my car and go to the drag strip. Ive always loved the powerband of my blower, and unless i dropped some serious coin on a turbo, it wouldnt spool fast enough for me. The turbo route produces higher hp on a dyno, but i look forward to seeing those guys at the strip

 

Im stuck in the middle! Once bonus time comes, that's when I'll decide

TVS is also A LOT more reliable than turbo.. Don't want to be blowing **** when it's my DD.

 

yea even simple things like blowing the intercooler piping couplers off or stuff like that. for now im happy with my decision.

yes and that would have been the turbo i went with after deciding my goals and what i do with the car. But honestly with the deal i got and all my other mods already done, it was a better deal ( and is your car running yet?)

5-7psi my car feels as fast if not faster than 3.0/42's and custom tune
nothin wrong with a tvs as long as there's meth or e85 involved but meh

 

no offense to those people but there are only a FEW on here that i paid any attention to when it came to the TVS. Shoot 90% of the turbo guys cant even get out of the 13's but like i said for the deal i got i couldnt pass it up later down the road who knows

 

my friend danew said the same thing as well. he has the same setup with the 252et. Im not by any means biased but this is the route i went. ( and being 28 with a morgage and a ton of other bills MAY have influenced my decision lol)

 

lowest time i seen on a tvs was mid 12's and venom ran that on a poopy hahn kit lol

 

mid to low 12's on my DD in a fwd cobalt is honestly good enough for me. Im a tech for a living if i want a 10 second car ill build a cheap rwd v8

i like the tvs is it the size as the m62 and where do i go to ck it for price ? i just pick up my motor today from the shop . i had it build hope to get it put in monday. order a devil's owns meth kit today which tune are you using ?
