That is correct... The brown wire is 1-5v, the yellow with is only for a narrow band. I just installed my LC-1 with a DB-Red gauge last friday before Dan tuned me. Yea the one analog output is a bitch. When I met Dan and he pulled out his HPT box I was like yea you can use these black headphone jack looking plugs right..? Needless to say I spent the next few minutes pulling apart my A pillar and getting the brown wire off my gauge. Soo yea, if you want to have a wideband gauge and tune at the same time, you will need to split the wire or disconnect it temporarily...

west virginia...bout 3 hrs...i got everything wired up and the lc-1 installed....i just have to hook up the ground and power and also splice the brown wire
1. will splicing the wire cause read out interference
2. what do you all do with your yellow wire...just secure it while not using it?

2. i just taped the yellow wire off.

ahhhhhhhhhhh. i dont think it will. lc1 instructions talk about all the grounds having to be together to avoid interference. they dont say anything about splicing an analog output. best bet is to call thier tech line tomorrow.

yea i went and bought those splicers from advance and got the yellow wire all ready...only to figure out today it was the brown wire i needed...i dunno what i was thinking...but the gauges are different... i couldnt find a gauge wire as small as what comes with the lc-1

no jsut from where ever you ran your wires...mine goes up into the a pillar area so they tend to fall down sometimes...i might run the serial cables over behind the grounding pillar in the center console to hget them out of the way...
