quick question, I want to mount my tank in my trunk, but in the place where the factory sub used to be. I wanted to know if this is an acceptable place to put it, and which way it has to be mounted if I put it there.

Absolutely. You can position it which ever way you prefer. Things to think about are which way is more accessible for making refills. Which way you plan on running the lines and passing through the floor. And of course, which way looks the coolest.
