New toy

Been a while, still own the Balt but figured it was time for something I could really have some fun with. Went out and bought an ‘84 C10 Scottsdale. Going to be a fun project truck with the engine mostly finished. It was way out of time and the carb needed calibrated and some other random stuff. Also had to do a good amount of electrical work.

After getting all of that squared away I’ll be finishing the interior as right now it’s pretty bare and needs a modernized overhaul. After that I’ll be throwing new tires on it along with possibly some rally’s and 3/4 drop.

Body is great underneath. Got an up close look at it tracing the wires lol.

It’s only a 305 but I have a 454 sitting around that could use a rebuild. Hmmm

Like those trucks, we got a guy here building a 83 to look like a 86. Looks like you have heat and ac hooked up under that clean hood. Very nice.

It’s rated for well more than the 4.5 PSI than I’m running.

its not the pressure, its heat and vibration. glass fuel filters are just a bomb waiting to go off. 2 months ago a friends dad had one break on his 30 ford street rod, almost lost the car because of it. it cost him thousands to fix, just for something that looks cool. its not the first time ive seen one shatter, and im sure it wont be the last.

consider yourself warned. i hate seeing peoples pride and joy burn up because of something that should have never been invented.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve never heard of that happening so I’ll definitely be picking up a new one.

there is a reason that near every racing sanctioning body specifically states "no glass or plastic fuel filters" somewhere in their rules.
