2 new mods

First off, I want to report that the Opel GT antenna that others brought up will fit an '06 Cobalt with NO modification. I decided to try putting the antenna on before drilling and tapping it and it fit like a glove. The Opel GT antenna has 100% reception, and much better than the AntennaX antenna. The Opel GT antenna is 14" which makes it about 2" longer than the AntennaX antenna. You can get the Opel GT antenna from GM Parts Direct:

The second mod is, I finally got my Halos, one of the LEDs are burnt out, but thats no biggie.

Comparison to the old AntennaX shorty

And my Halos, with Silverstars

ugh.. once again, I get fucked for having an 07 =( Different harness, different DRL's, different antenna mount, no g85 package, ****!
I know some of the earlier 07s had the g85, but still....makes me sad I couldn't get it.

So I read the other post in the general forums, looks like I could retap it into a 7mm antenna without too much work.
I'll wait for that how-to that supposed to be coming out.
Hopefully the bits I need wouldn't be too expensive, I can use a 15/64 bit to retap the thread to 7mm accoring to your chart, correct?
Home Depot doesn't carry much metric **** lol

Some 06's have 7mm. Do you know if you have 6 or 7mm?
