2007 Headlights

While masturbating in my garage last night to pictures of car_guy_09's mom, I noticed something weird on my car. Where my turn signal bulb lies, there is an amber bulb and a chrome housing behind it. My parents also have a 2007 Cobalt, but it's an LS, and it has a clear signal bulb and an orange housing behind it.

Anyone want to play detective and figure out why?

orange behind it or orange lense in front of it? 05 and 06 had the orange lense in front of a clear bulb and the 07 up had no lense with a orange bulb.

I have an 06 SS/SC and an 07 SS/NA sedan. Both looked like the pic of the LS, however my 06 had an amber bulb, and my 07 had a clear bulb. Also, the SS/SC drl's are the parking lights. The 07 drl's are the headlights. What's up with that? Are there different wire harnesses? Will changing the 07 wire harness to the 06 change this? I think the turn signals look better for the drl's.

Interesting. The build date on my 07 SS is November 2006, and the 07 LS is June 2007. Weird huh?

Just pull the DRL fuse and have your fogs on all the time. That's what I do.

The thing that gets me is that both cars are MY 2007, and the LS was made well after mine yet it has the 05-06 style headlamps lol.

It's like GM found an old set of 06 headlamps and was like "hey, just throw em on that LS over there. Nobody will even know."

All Cobalts 05-06 had the amber lens over the turn signal "bubble." In 07, every trim EXCEPT the SS/SC has that same lens (SS/SC does NOT - your case). And I believe every Cobalt 08+ does not have the amber lense.
