2nd gen halos
2nd gen halos
So let me get this right the second gen halos use H7 bulbs on both the high beams and low beams and are plug and play all lights turn on when hooked up to oem harness? and all leds turn on even the little strip on top of the halos. and can I run a hid kit on the low and high beams? Would this make sense or should I just leave the high beams halogen? Thanks for the input.
Just an FYI, I ordered gen 2 projectors a couple weeks ago, and they did not come with the LED bar on top. I asked the seller about it and he told me his provider has started manufacturing them WITHOUT the bar, due to high failure rates. I was okay with that, I think it looks better without the bar. But if you're looking forward to that, you might want to ask before you buy.
Also, mine were plug and play. No wiring of anything needed.

Also, Gen 2 are H7 low, H1 high, and it is a bad idea to put HIDs in the high beams. There is not a proper projector for it, I don't even think there's enough space for the bulb, and your highs go on and off too much to get any long term out of HIDs in there.
And yes, the Gen 2's are totally plug and play with the stock harness, it's when you add HIDs that you need to do some cutting and splicing, and a bit of drilling.

Thanks everyone. For the input. Man 2nd gen projectors seem like a bitch!!! I am going to cancel my order and get some Euro style head lights. Later on retro fit will be the way to go.

If you look closely you can see where the LED bar would go.. but there is nothing there, just the plastic housing.
Here's a pre-install pic.

The seller was m.m.motor.
