3rd Gen Projectors Installed! Day/Night Pics!
no but its really simple though.. you have 2 red wires a one white per light for the power to the halos and leds and 3 black wires for the grounds per lights.. i put all the power wires together and spliced into the little 194 runnin light thats in the factory light harness.. i connected em to the brown wire and did the same with the ground wires but i hooked them to the black wire thats right beside the brown one.. they come on any time the parkin lights are on now.. there is many different ways to wire em though.. just depends on how you want it done and whether or not you want to be able to turn em on and off at anytime seprate from the headlights and runnin lights..
They're easy as hell to wire up. You use your stock harness to power ALL the lights, there is a plug for the headlights, and you have to splice for the halos/leds. So, on the little bulb that goes behind the orange reflector (the smallest bulb on the harness, should be a bitch to get to on the back of the headlight, mine was gray), locate the Brown wire, and one of the Black wires.
Group all the Red and White wires from the Halo's/LEDs (these are positive), and tie them into the Brown wire on the stock harness. Group all the Black (negative) wires from the halos/leds into the black wire on the stock harness. Done.
If you wanna be fancy, pick up some disconnect terminals so you can take your lights out easily if needed.
As YellowLT stated this way of wiring them up makes the LEDs and Halos come on at any time your car is running, regardless of whether your headlights are on lows, highs, or just off. I think this way looks the best.

Same haha, I think I used a billion crimp connectors all in all... my HID kit wasn't as easy to put in as I thought.. it wasn't the right kit for our car, it wouldn't fit my headlight plugs and I had to convert one of the lowbeams into a relay power-on signal lol.
yours is the only balt i've ever seen that looks good with the chrome lights and it looks great.. i dont like the way chrome looks on yellow though so thats why i went black.. thats pretty much the theme im goin with anyways..
Thanks! I think the main reason chrome works, is cuz you gotta have a theme going, and it really should mix with the grill too.
Would i have went to a SS NA lower grill, and kept the stock upper, i could have went with a black/blue theme. Its all in what you have to work with, and what you want to accomplish!

i really like your chrome theme going on.
Im a fan of both the new projectors and the old.
i am going with the 3rd gen projectors. i have decided not to get hids because i dont want to loose the drls and the auto functions. i like the fact that i ont have to turn the lights on manually. has anybody found the silverstar ultra in the h1 size? i will be using those for the low beams on the projectors if i can find them.
i also wil be getting black since i have a silver metallic paint.

Very nice bud! You're a heck of a trooper for pulling it off in the cold!
I prefer my 1st gen still though. Chrome ftw! And they look a little more aggressive to me...

The low beams are xenon, but high beams are a regular bulb?

and yes, they sell silverstar h1's.
really, i have heard other people say that they will not work any longer with hids. can you elaborate on the install. i would really like to get hids but i was not wanting to give up the drls and auto on. i hoping on a wiring diagram if you can help me out. maybe a pic of yours please. on the h1's is it the h1 st model that i need for the 3rd gen projectors?

So, on the back of the new headlights, you have a female 9007 plug that connects to your stock headlight harness. This female plug splits into 2 H1 plugs which are your highs and lows on the new headlight.
So, if you look at the HID harness (pic above), you see a Remote Turn-On PLug which, when it receives power, sends a signal to the relay to turn on your HIDs.
Because the whole HID harness actually replaces the H1 lowbeam plug on the new headlight, I splice that into the Turn-On Plug, and that is what tells my HIDs to turn on. Now you only need one signal from one of the headlights, so on the other side I chopped the H1 lowbeam plug off and crimped the wires off.
Thats how my HID kit is wired in, everything else is self explanatory. The ballast plugs goes to the ballasts on either side of the car, and those plug into the HID bulbs. The red and black wires are the pos/neg feeds for the whole HID kit, I put the pos on the pos post on the fuse box, and the neg I grounded to a nut on the chassis.
As for wiring up the halos and leds, (ALL the generations of halos require these to be wired up.. no plug and play here), I'll quote my post from page 3:

Thanks
Yesterday I was outside adjusting them, and I parked outside a school so I could see the beam pattern.. yea my battery went dead FAST and I had to call roadside assistance to come and boost me... I froze my ass off again, my windows were left down and I couldnt get em up lol
Mine are, yes.
My drls and auto-ons still work, i didnt have to touch any of those..
and yes, they sell silverstar h1's.

so what happens with the daytime running lights with the HID's on the 07's? cause i know it uses the headlights but only on 1/2 power. do they have enough juice to come on? I dont want to screw up the ballasts or anything.
out of curiosity, and sorry if this has been answered already, but what acutally comes on for the daytime running lights? i know you can wire the halos and leds so they do, but do the amber lights come on, and do they dim when the headlights come on like in the '05-06 cobalts?
