Unhappy 55W Install Help

So I ordered the 55W kit, and the relay harness for it all and I'm a little confused. I took a few pictures and labelled the connections that I know what they are used for but I'm not sure about 1 thing. The blue connection hooks to a headlight but which one? Do I need to disable my DRLs to avoid any problems? How do I disable it (Remove the fuse?)

A few notes before the pictures. The Projectors these are going into don't have bi xenon shutter controls, Its just 1 bulb for both functions... I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose the High Beam control unless I modify to retrofit a little further (Which I'm working on something extremely legit and in the process my wife will be getting her own set of retrofits in the process.

If someone could answer the questions for me and let me know about things I'm not thinking about I would greatly appreciate it =)

Also, the kit came with a bolt and a nut, I am clueless how that fits in. There are also 2 rubber o-rings that I'm not sure where to install. Another thing is the plastic case that the bulbs are in, the bottom piece won't come off unless I break it off, Should I remove it and if so, how?

The entire system laid out ^^

Driver/Passenger side of Relay harness (I believe these connect to the Ballast?)

Majority of the Wiring Harness labelled ^^??

1 of the 55W Bulb/Ballasts^^

I believe these are the Shutter control wires but I have no clue what they are used for.

I'm using a 9006 bulb (Direct fit for the Valeo A4 projectors) thus the need for the wiring harness. That connection actually connects to the H1 bulb. In the little rubber grommet cover, there are 2 rubber elbows. I'd have to take apart my H1's to show you. Just be sure you wrap the rubber elbow insulation with black electrical tape, I kept blowing fuses because the positive and ground leads were barely tapping while driving / putting them back in.

2nd pic ?'s - Goes to the ballast
3rd pic ?'s - Blue Plug: Plug that into the driver side. It won't reach to the passenger side.
4th pic ?'s - That is unused. Don't worry about it. I don't know if you can cut if off. I just leave it.
5th pic ?'s - I haven't a clue

Wouldn't I get a "BULB OUT" message because the Passenger side isn't connected (Factory connection) to anything?

Nope. Thats how my harness is for my head lights right now. It takes the signal from the one head light and sends it to the other through that wiring harness. You'll still have the passenger headlight turn signals and everything hooked up over there, but that harness will tell the ballasts when to fire and turn on the actual head light

Even though the factory power connection (Passenger side) isn't connected to anything?

Also, to clear something up, I have Valeo projectors but the cutoff shield inside has this 1 inch cut in it where the metal is bent towards the lens (Factory). Does this mean I can still use them for high beams or do I need to seal that little piece up?

"THIS" is the only part of the head light harness that will still be hooked up on the passenger side. I know you don't have the stock harness but you should still have this connector. We don't have a bulb out code either. Atleast I don't...

Red ring to battery power. black rings to ground. throw out the little square harnesses. blue plug goes to drivers side headlight socket on cobalt headlight harness. passenger headlight plug on cobalt harness goes to nothing (fill it with dielectric grease and wrap in electrical tape) everything else only plugs in one way. /thread

Sweet. Thanks for the help...

I am curious though -- I'm thinking about butchering my Gen 1's and using the projectors from them and retrofitting my wife's car (She's night blind) and moving my 35W HID kit to her car. If I do this, the only pieces I wouldn't use from the Gen 1's is the actual silver chrome piece assembly and the LED's the come in (Which I never liked them so I didn't connect them)

If I was to "move" the high beams from the Gen 1's to the retrofits as they will remain halogen until I can afford one of those "Warmup timer reducer things that keep them ready to turn on" into my retrofits with some custom fab work, I would just move the connection that's on the factory harness correct? Or would I have to wire those into the mix as well?
